Ohio is a Piano!

Huh?

Most data maps use color. This one uses sound. A piano has 88 keys and Ohio has 88 counties, so every county gets its own key. Pick a Census measure and the counties line up along the keyboard: the lowest value gets the lowest note and the highest value gets the highest. Counties are shaded like the black and white keys they land on.
